Richard J. Smith

 Richard J. Smith, 59, a lifelong resident of Belford, passed away Saturday, April 16th. Richard was born November 9, 1962, one of eight children born to the late Mary and Claude "Bud" Smith , Sr.  Richie was a commercial fisherman for many years. He loved being on the water. He enjoyed fishing and watching the sun set. Richie will fondly be remembered as an all around good guy.  
    Richard is survived by a daughter, Amber Smith and son, Devin Smith. He also leaves behind two sisters, Mary Smith; Sharon Smith-Rasoilo and three brothers; Claude "Buddy" Smith, James Smith, and Ronald  Smith along with many nieces and nephews. Richie was predeceased by his brothers Michael and Henry Smith.
    A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
