Patricia McTighe Obituary

Patricia (nee Reardon) McTighe, 79, of Monmouth Beach, passed away Saturday, June 3rd. Patricia was born on July 23, 1943, a daughter of the late Margery and William  Reardon. She was raised in Rumson and a graduate of  the Rumson-Fair Haven High School. She lived around that area most of her life before settling in Monmouth Beach in 1977.

   Patricia worked for the New York and New Jersey Blood Services for over 20 years. She was in charge of securing platelet donations. She retired 15 years ago.

   Patricia loved the beach and spending time outdoors. She could often be found golfing or cheering on her grandchildren at one of their sporting events. Patricia was a master gardener and used her skills tending to the St. John’s Episcopal Church garden where she was parishioner. She also enjoyed traveling to either warm sunny places or to Washington state to visit her sister, Babs. Family was important to Patricia. She was a kind person with a great sense of humor and will always be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother , grandmother, sister and friend. 

   Patricia is survived by her husband of 40 years, Martin  McTighe and her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Tara Porter. She also leaves behind three sisters; Barbara Egolf, Susan Slocum, Carol Clark and two brothers; Jeff Reardon and Peter  Reardon along with 3 beloved grandchildren; Grace, Tessa  and Macklin.
