John A. Martin

 John A. Martin, known to all who loved him as Jack, passed away August 20th, at home surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born in Long Branch, NJ on July 20, 1931. He resided in Port Monmouth and lived in the Jersey Shore area for 58 years. The last 32 years he resided in Boynton Beach, Florida with his wonderful wife, Norena “Renie”, to whom he has been married 68 years. She gave him two wonderful gifts, his sons John and Michael.  Jack also was given the gifts of grandchildren: Brian and Jessica and Sean and Evan Martin. He also has nephews Wayne, Richard and Roy Edward “Nicky” Rogers and nieces Linda Rogers-Griffith and Donna Rogers-Doherty and Susan Braun. 
    He was very fortunate in his life that he was able to follow his career as a professional land surveyor, even being voted Surveyor of the Year in 1987. 
    Jack did it “his way.”  There are no services, as per his wishes.
