John P. Kennedy, Sr., 61, of Belford, passed away Thursday, December 1st. John was born in Teaneck on November 23, 1961, a son of the late Margaret and Peter Kennedy. He lived most of his life in Orangeburg, NY before moving to Belford 3 years ago.
John was a project manager in construction for many years. He loved working outside and being outside. John could often be found working in his yard, riding his motorcycle (Harley Davidsons were his favorite!) at the beach, or fishing and usually had a Budweiser by his side. Everyone loved John. He was a family oriented, loving, kind and generous man. He was a people person who would strike up a conversation with anyone. John was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for his family. His favorite store was Costco and looked forward to trips there. John also enjoyed going to the movies. He will fondly be remembered as a loving and devoted father, grandfather and friend.
John is survived by his fiancé, Geneine Olive and his four children: Brittany Antonutti, John "JP" Kennedy, Jr., Ashley Kennedy and Emily Kennedy Carle. He also leaves behind two sisters, Karen Garland and Trish Murphy; three brothers; Pete Kennedy Phil Kennedy and Joe Kennedy along with his three grandchildren: Oliver, River and Hazel.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring.
