John F. Dimartino, 70, of Wayne, passed away Friday, October 27th. John was born in Paterson, New Jersey on January 30, 1953, a son of the late Bernadine and Cosmo Dimartino. John was raised in Haledon and lived in North Jersey most his life.
John started his working career as a hair dresser. He then developed a passion for cars which led him to a long career in automotive sales. He retired from Goodfellas Auto Sales in Clifton. John was a natural salesman; people would naturally gravitate to him and he had a way of making people feel special, like they were the only person who mattered to him. John was a fun loving guy with a big laugh and great fashion sense. He was an avid Yankees fan and a wicked card player who often beat his family during holiday card games. One of his favorite things to do was to watch his wife Carol sing and perform. John will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
