George Yahnel, Jr.

George Yahnel, Jr., 85, of Keansburg, passed away January 21, 2023. George  was born on March 24, 1937, the only son of Ethel and George Yahnel. He lived in Jamesburg most of his life where he was a science teacher at Jamesburg High School for 18 years and was then transferred to Monroe High School for several years before his retirement. After retiring, George bought a bungalow in Keansburg and renovated it himself to make his perfect retiement home. George was a very intelligent and gifted man. He was constantly learning whether it was online or reading at the library. George enjoyed tinkering with electronics and computers. He volunteered at the Keansburg Historical Society and loved researching history.
    George is survived by his cousin, Nancy Thoman and his dear friends Michael Cutler and daughter, Rachel.
