Cindy Mae (Tittle) Offhaus

Cindy Mae Offhaus, 69, of Keansburg, passed away on July 1, 2026. She was a loving and kind woman whose life was centered on her family, and she will be remembered with deep affection by all who knew her.

Born on April 30, 1957, Cindy was a daughter of the late Richard and Bonnie Tittle. She was raised in Hazlet and spent her early years surrounded by the people and places that helped shape the warm and caring person she became. She moved to Florida for a couple of years before returning to New Jersey. She raised her children in Port Monmouth and built many lasting memories there. Cindy also briefly lived in Upstate New York and Leonardo before settling in Keansburg 29 years ago, where she made her home for the remainder of her life.

Cindy worked many years in retail and was known for her dependable nature and strong work ethic. Over the years, she held positions at Bradlees, Caldor, and DSW, among others. She took pride in her work and carried herself with the same kindness and steadiness that she brought to every part of her life. Those who worked with her will remember her as a pleasant and dedicated presence who treated others with respect.

Above all else, Cindy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Larry Lee Offhaus; her son, Charles Hunt; her three daughters, Christine Johnson, Caroline Dosser, and Catherine Hunt; and her two stepchildren, Tracey Filomena and Paul Offhaus. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom brought great joy to her life. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest happiness in caring for them and being present in their lives.

Cindy showed her love in many thoughtful ways. She crocheted blankets for all of her grandchildren, creating keepsakes that will be treasured for years to come. She enjoyed cooking and was especially known for her baking, which was much loved by those fortunate enough to enjoy it. She also enjoyed collecting bears, a hobby that reflected her gentle and affectionate spirit. Her home and her heart were always open to the people she loved, and she will be remembered for the comfort, warmth, and encouragement she gave so freely.
