Carolyn Wolf-Gursky Obituary

Carolyn Wolf-Gursky, a lifelong resident of the Middletown community and a beacon of courage and love, passed away on May 26, 2024, at the age of 55. Born on September 28, 1968, in Hoboken, to the late Frank and Margaret Cooke, they moved to Middletown during Carolyns early childhood. Carolyn's life was a testament to the depth of her kindness and the breadth of her caring spirit.

For 25 years, Carolyn's creativity and passion for beauty shone brightly as a florist at Guaranteed Plants and Florist. Her artful arrangements brought joy and solace to countless individuals, enhancing celebrations and comforting many during their times of need. When the business changed hands, Carolyn transitioned her nurturing touch to the Middletown Board of Education, where she continued to make a positive impact on the community she loved so dearly.

Carolyn's love for flowers extended well beyond her professional life. She delighted in the simple pleasures of peonies and roses, and her hands often bore the traces of soil from tending to her own garden. Her love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew her, as she cherished the warmth of the sun and the serenity of the beach in Avon. There, she would spend countless hours collecting sand dollars, a hobby that reflected her appreciation for nature's delicate treasures.

Music was another source of joy for Carolyn, and she shared this passion with her beloved daughter, Madison Kowall. Together, they would often be found singing along to the tunes of Shania Twain, filling their home with laughter and song. Carolyn's role as a mother was one she embraced wholeheartedly, and her bond with Madison was built on a foundation of unconditional love and mutual admiration.

Carolyn's brother, Steve Wolf, will fondly remember her as a guiding light in his life, her thoughtful nature always a source of comfort and support. Snickers, her devoted cat, was a constant companion and a source of endless affection for Carolyn.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Carolyn will remember her as a courageous soul, whose loving and thoughtful demeanor touched the hearts of many. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and warmth that will continue to inspire those she has left behind.

Carolyn's life was a beautiful mosaic of the relationships she cherished, the beauty she created, and the lives she touched. As we bid farewell to Carolyn Wolf-Gursky, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the countless ways in which she made our world a more beautiful place. Her spirit will forever bloom in the hearts of those who loved her, just as the flowers she adored will continue to blossom in the sun.
