Brent J. Stebbins, 37, of Union Beach, passed away Tuesday, January 16th. Brent was born in Rochester, New York on August 4, 1986, a son of Janet (Rasmussen) Desfosse and the late Kent Stebbins. He moved to Belford when he was a year old. Brent was raised in Belford and was a true Belford boy. By the time he was 10 years old, he was heading to Port Monmouth beach by himself to spend the day swimming and fishing. He loved the water. Even his family vacations to Thousand Islands in New York were spent at the beach. Brent graduated Middletown High School North in 2005. Brent loved working and keeping busy. He was a Jack of all Trades. He had many jobs over the years, from working on cars, to construction, to his most recent job in the maintenance department at Beacon Hill Country Club. Brent also had a special place in his heart for animals. He loved animals of all kinds. But, his true love was his children. Chances are if you ran into Brent, he would go on and on, proudly boasting about his kids.
Brent is survived by his mother and stepfather, Janet and Donald Desfosse of Belford. He also leaves behind a daughter, Lillian, along with her mother Heather Redmond and two sons Mason and Aiden Stebbins, along with their mother, Tara Settle, of Union Beach; his Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Rich, and cousins Victoria Beach of Thousand Islands and Megan Able of Rochester, NY.
Brent was predeceased by his stepfather, Billy Knudsen.
A Memorial Gathering will take place Saturday, January 27th from 3 -5 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals. A Service will conclude the afternoon.
