Arleen DeLeon, 79, of Keansburg, passed away Sunday, April 2nd. Arleen was born in Rahway, New Jersey on August 24, 1943, a daughter of the late Gertrude and Arthur McGinnis. She was raised in Elizabeth and lived in the surrounding areas before settling in Keansburg 26 years ago. Lee worked in the restaurant business in the Linden area most her life and later went on to work at a mortgage company.
Most of Lee's free time was spent with her husband Dick. They enjoyed travelling together, and daytrips to Atlantic City or the boardwalk. They could often be found with their friends at the Stadium or at Piero's for a quiet dinner. Lee found the most joy when she was with Dick, her true Soulmate. She will fondly be remembered as loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Lee was predeceased by her beloved husband of 34 years, Dick DeLeon, in 2018. She was also preceeded by her two daughters; Linda Young and Maria DeVine. .
Lee is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Paul Honrath; and a son, JD DeVine. Lee also leaves behind a brother, Arthur McGinnis, III; 15 grandchildren, and 3 nephews.
A Memorial Gathering will take place Thursday , April 27th from 5 - 7 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals. A Service will conclude the evening.
