Robert Stocketta, 81, of Port Monmouth, passed away Saturday, December 3rd. Robert was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on November 19, 1941, a son of the late Theresa and Louis Stockette. Bob was raised in Philadelphia and Blackwood, NJ before enlisting in the US Army. Bob served 3 tours during Viet Nam. After a 19 year career with the US Army as a Staff Sergeant, Bob then went to work for the US Postal Service where he managed the motorpool department for many years, but Bob could not just retire, he became a security guard at Vonage in Holmdel.
Bob was a hardworker and liked to keep busy. When he did have time off, he enjoyed fishing, playing scratch offs and trips to Atlantic City. He and his wife, Yuki, also enjoyed trips with the Middletown Senior group.
Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Yuki Stocketta and their daughter Naomi Frick. Bob also leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Diane Stockette and 3 grandchildren; Ashley (Krish) Komal, Justin Frick (Shannon Summers), and Amber (Ryan) Pearce along with a great-grandchild, Logan Komal
Bob was predeceased by his siblings, Louis Stockette, Rita Stockette, and Rosemarie Lewandowski.
Cremation services are private and Bob will be enurned at the Brg. Gen William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
