Doris J. (Troxel) Huhn

 Doris J. Huhn, 77, of Hazlet, passed away, Wednesday, November 16th. Doris was born in Staten Island, NY on March 4, 1945, a daughter of the late Virginia and Edward Troxel. She was raised in Staten Island and then moved to Newark with her family where she met her husband, William. After marrying, they moved to East Orange then settled in Bloomfield to raise their family. Doris retired to Hazlet in 2005. 
   Doris enjoyed staying active right up until her passing. She looked forward to seeing her friends at the Keyport Senior Center. She could often be found playing cards, dining out or even dancing. Doris' family was her number one priority. She loved spending time with them. She will fondly be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. 
    Doris was predeceased by her husband William R. Huhn and their son Richard.
She is survived by her son, William "Billy" Huhn and his wife Lisa; and her sister Barbara Troxel. Doris also leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Amy Huhn; brother-in-law Gary Huhn and 5 grandchildren; Nicholas, James, William J., Kaitlyn and Louis; many nieces and nephews, along with her beloved dog Mallory.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 7th from 2-6 pm at Union Garden Firehouse, Park Avenue, Union Beach, NJ.
